Another Cuppa? Caffeine May Prevent Memory Loss

That extra cup of coffee may not be so bad after all, according to a recent study of more than 7,000 older adults. Researchers found that women ages 65 and older who drank a lot of caffeine (three or more cups per day) had less memory loss than women who drank only one cup per day or less. According to this study, caffeine won’t prevent dementia, but it may delay some of the memory loss that naturally occurs with aging. In this study, caffeine didn’t seem to offer the same benefit to men.
