Chest Pain Center Accreditation Expanded

In 2004, OSF Saint Anthony was the first medical center in Rockford, the fourth in Illinois and the 88th in the nation to achieve accreditation as a Chest Pain Center.

Now, OSF Saint Anthony is the first in the area to achieve full Cycle II Chest Pain Center accreditation, which means we have demonstrated our expertise and commitment to quality by meeting or exceeding stringent criteria. The accreditation certifies that OSF provides a full spectrum of emergency cardiac care, including EKG transmission directly from the field to the Emergency Department, rapid diagnosis and fast-track treatment.
