Our mission at the Illinois Neurosciences Institute
at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center is simple: To excel at
diagnosing, treating, rehabilitating and helping our patients
get back to enjoying life again.  The search
to find the keys to unlock the mysteries of the human brain,
spinal cord and the peripheral nervous system has never been
more intense. Though we are making progress, there is still
much to discover.
The physicians
and other medical professionals affiliated with the Illinois
Neurosciences Institute are committed to being leaders in
their chosen field. The medical staff works as a team to diagnose
and treat diseases and injuries of the brain and spinal cord.
We conduct innovative research and sponsor popular education
programs to ensure other healthcare professionals have access
to proven life preserving and life enhancing clinical interventions.
The Institute works with the hospital's Level I Trauma Center,
Neurological/Trauma Intensive Care Unit, Magnetic Resonance
Imaging Center, medical imaging department and Lifeline emergency
helicopter and ambulance service to provide the most complete
care in the region. By coordinating all of our resources we
are better able to diagnose and treat patients with stroke,
severe head injuries, epilepsy and other neurological conditions.
